The Harry Brooks Foundation

This is a yet to be founded Foundation in remembrance of my late father Harry Brooks Snr, the pioneer of hire-purchase in 1921 . He was known as 'Mr Manchester' and renowned for his honesty, hard work, devotion to family, never incurring any debt (ironic as he pioneered hire-purchase) and a strict adherence to ethics and principle. He would certainly endorse 'Philanthropy with Industry' where every subscriber can become 'Shareholders in Life & Freedom.'

The HB Foundation shall be a non-profit making, apolitical, non-religious, non-racial foundation that disburses income to established charities yet to be nominated.

Its mission is also to appropriate part of the massive global Midas revenue received by various governments who have large equity in their mobile operators, to sustain their countries' socio-economic values by supporting the National Health, Education, Transport and other bankrupt Social Services.

It shall highlight drug & alcohol abuse, and the protection of civil liberties, especially in the Third World by the advancement of democratic governance. Grants shall be awarded to people who wish to benefit by such a global syllabus of education, discipline and health.

People shall therefore profit by being shareholders in life and freedom.

Cancer Research UK and The Prince's Trust (Yet to be nominated)

It is not only necessary to heal the body but also the mind. Many young people are given no opportunities; they grow up without any confidence or self-esteem and their only future is in prison. Many of them have latent talents that need to be developed and nurtured.  Fitness classes combined with outdoor sport builds strong bodies and minds.  We also try to find a vocation that these young people want, We also emphasize a strict non-drug and alcohol policy where they can witness an improved state of mind. Where possible we train them to influence other young people to get better as this restores their self-confidence. They gradually see a much better life and become "Shareholders in Life & Freedom."

Also I wish to establish within the Midas Forum centres of learning to train and educate scientists and IT technicians to cultivate their knowledge in order to pioneer new technologies. To arrange Scholarships via corporate sponsorship  to assist in the procurement of University students from the yet to be established Harry Brooks Foundation.

When The Midas Consortium is established a percentage of profits from Midas shall be apportioned to the selected charities.

The Harry Brooks Foundation, The Midas Consortium and The Midas Board shall not accept any investment or equity proposals in this project until such time as the full Midas Board of Directors declare their corporate intentions in compliance with the best corporate governance.

Harry Brooks Jnr currently owns all the shares in the proposed Midas project and no shares are available until each of the proposed shareholders are in conclusive and satisfactory written agreement.

As the founder and chairman of the proposed Midas Consortium I have no association, either financially or personally, with any of the proposed Midas Board or any mobile-phone networks.

I have not been commissioned to develop the Midas project which is totally self-financed.

The Midas Consortium is a non-political and a multinational strategic partnership.
